Quad Bike Short Course

This short course is a pre-employment course for those with little experience or no experience of handling a quad bike.

About the course

This short course provides an entry level to employment and prerequisite unit standard leading to further quad bike training leading to employment in the primary sector. While it is limited to quad bike operation on flat terrain only, you will be able to demonstrate knowledge of; the safe operation of a quad bike, quad bike riding contingency procedures and the safe operation of a quad bike with trailed equipment and a mounted load.

Method of study

Two day short course.

Unit standards

Gain 6 credits across the following unit standards:

  • 24557 - Demonstrate knowledge of the safe operation of a quad bike
  • 27602 - Demonstrate quad bike riding skills on flat ground under close supervision

Entry requirements

  • Candidates should hold a minimum of a Class 1 Restricted Drivers Licence.
