We offer learning support that fits your needs.
At Tai Poutini Polytechnic, we want to offer learning that fits our learners needs. That means offering support and help when you need it.
Whether you have a Specific Learning Difficulty (SLD), didn’t have a good learning experience at school, or would like help in a specific area of learning – we can help with:
- Study skills
- Time management
- APA Referencing
- Reader/writer support
- One to one learning support
- Reading and understanding texts
- Making notes
- Essay and report writing
- Improving grammar and spelling
- Supporting maths and computing skills
- Speaking skills and oral presentation
- Exam preparation
If you are enrolled on Level 1 - 3 programmes you will complete a literacy and numeracy assessment at the beginning of your programme to identify any areas where support may be needed.
If you would like to speak to someone on site at Tai Poutini Polytechnic, please contact Student Support. Student Support Advisors are available for drop in/booked appointments. You can book an appointment via our online booking system here.
Pathways Awarua is an online tool that can help you increase your literacy and numeracy skills.
