About the programmeTai Poutini Polytechnic has worked closely with parents, whānau, educators and support services to develop the Training Scheme in Hospitality Supported Learning (Level 1), targeted especially at students who require supported learning. You will learn the basics of customer service, presentation and health and safety in a hospitality environment. You will benefit from learning life skills and communication skills to help build confidence and understanding of basic hospitality and community practices. The programme aims to prepare you for an entry-level position in the hospitality industry; it also offers social and life skills and the ability to interact with the local community.
