JADE CARVING SHORT COURSE

This is a basic introduction to hardstone carving, targeting hobbyists or if you who would like to trial hardstone carving as a possible career choice. 

By the end of the course you will be able to understand how to produce a simple pendant from hardstone. 

The topics included in this course are:

  • Health and safety induction to the grinding wheel and electric hand piece. 
  • You will learn how to create a template, transfer this to the stone, and then carve using the above equipment.
