Make the most of free training options at TPP!

The Government has announced a $1.6 billion trades and apprenticeships training package to support the national recovery from COVID-19. There are now more fees-free training options than ever and you can make the most of it at TPP.

New, free training options are in key industries impacted by the pandemic and they’re for all learners – for all ages, not just school leavers – over the next two years. This is in additional to any fees-free support you have already accessed.

The aim is to support all learners looking to gain skills or re-train in key industries where demand from employers is already strong or is expected to grow.

Programmes in the free training scheme include:

  • Primary industries, including agriculture, horticulture and viticulture, fisheries (including aquaculture) and forestry;
  • Construction, including building, plumbing, and civil engineering;
  • Community support, including youth work, care for elderly, counselling and community health, including mental health and addiction support;
  • Manufacturing and mechanical engineering and technology;
  • Electrical engineering; and
  • Road transport (e.g. heavy vehicle operator).
