When you love what you’re doing, you learn, and it doesn’t feel like hard work. Since studying cookery with Tai Poutini Polytechnic in 1996, I’ve gone on to work in hotels, chalets, corporations and private homes all over the world. Kiwi chefs are really respected overseas – we’re known for being hard-working and I’ve never had a problem finding a job. Now I’m launching my own catering business The Waikuku Beach Kitchen and there’s plenty to look forward to.
