Learning support

This is a free, confidential service provided for Tai Poutini Polytechnic students. There is help available in the following areas:

  • Assessment (may have to make referrals to outside providers)
  • Study skills
  • Time management
  • Note taking
  • Reader/writer support
  • One to one tuition
  • Reading and understanding texts
  • Making notes
  • Essay and report writing
  • Improving grammar and spelling
  • Supporting maths and computing skills
  • Speaking skills and oral presentation
  • Exam preparation

All students enrolled on Level 1 to 3 programmes, will complete a literacy and numeracy assessment at the beginning of their programme to identify any areas where support is needed.
